Haven't updated this in a while, but no new parts since the horns. That all changed this week when I got 1 package from Rod in Japan and another package from a wheel specialist in Christchurch, NZ called Pine Engineering.

First up was the package from Rod

The seat is a Japanese made FRP bucket by a (possibly) now defunct company called 'Quattro Sport', I chose this because it is a commonly used style bucket in 80s styled cars and they are cheap, round off at about 8-12k Yen. The bucket is in great condition considering it's age with the material in mint condition and the back only wearing a half dozen scratches. Even has some old stickers included on that back which will stay on.
The seat rail had to be modified slightly to get it to mount but it works, however I find that I sit too high up and the best option would be to bolt it to the ground.

Next Rod sold me on a poor condition RS Aizawa cooling panel for cheap, I already had a more effective (or at least i suspect) custom one done by a local but who doesn't like a bit of gold! The custom one is completely covered with only a hole for the bonnet latch and it also extends under the headlights. But it is actually useful to have the extra holes there and my car isn't by any means going to be overheating by the extra air flowing over the rad. plus gold!

An old Japanese Patrol siren light by National(?), I believe they are/were used as a roadside hazard light to notify other motorists of a breakdown or things like that, similar to those flares that JDM cars came installed with in the 90s. Here's a small clip of it in action.

The remaining items are stickers, from many years ago, NGK, Far East Co., Linea Rossa etc. They come up really cheap on YAJ and give the car a more authentic feel.

What isn't pictured is a pair of Carrozzeria TS-X25 3-Way speakers made by Pioneer, these things are once again pretty old, the speaker surrounds had to be replaced as they were practically falling off but they sounded great after! Mids are nice, bass is punchy and they're the right size for the busy parcel shelf. A cool little feature is the "CARROZZERIA" logo on the back lights up greeny/blue when the lights are on and if you step on the brake it lights up red but I've yet to wire it up.

That was another member's car, unfortunately I don't know if it's salvageable.

    -----------

Some progression with my car, I've finally grown tiresome of the exhaust that had been fitted from factory. It was very old, very drone-y and didn't sound good at all.

Out came the old system with minimal effort

Replacing it is a Mazdaspeed 4-2-1 Header that I picked up for $100 (plus trade of my factory manifold) and a Car Make Corn*s Ver. I muffler that I also picked up for $100. Not planning to add a resonator or cat in the middle so just need a few flanges and some pipe to weld up and complete the exhaust system

One other piece I managed to find for cheap ($20) is this heat shield, had no idea who it was made by but Jimmy Vee said that it is highly likely to be a shield included with every new Maxim Works manifold, can't be mad at that!

    ---------

I've also decided to sell off my Hoshinos in replace of something 4-100 and get rid of adapters. The main reason being that I'm wanting to fit lower offset wheels in both the rear and front, there is a set of SSR MK-IIs i'm hoping to get once these sell, fingers crossed!
Will be hard to let these go especially since I waited 12-14 weeks for the wider lips for the rears but I feel like the adapters gotta go!

    No problem, also thank you!

    -----

So Hoshinos are gone, yesterday was my last day with them and it was sort of bitter sweet since I spent so much and waited so long for the rear pair to be made up and in the end I end up trading them

Here they are in the back of my daily. Goodbye

This is what I traded them for

    Heroes Racing I Speed
    15x6j +38

Unfortunately the dopey previous owner sprayed them black and covered the awesome factory white paint AND the painted on writing around the wheel. They are also without center caps so that sucks but they are a true aero/directional wheel with a left and right side to feed cool air in and hot air out of the back of the wheel.

    ----

That was just a lame joke, I actually bought those for 100nzd and want to keep them for the daily.
What i ACTUALLY traded the Hoshinos for are these

    SSR MK-IIs
    14x7.5j +6
    14x8j -12
    4x100!!

With this that means that my adapters are no more and I'm going back to the factory stud pattern which is ideal for me because I have been wanting wider wheels in the back. The current plan is to run the 8j wheels in the front and then widen the rears to 9j -13 or 9.5j -19 I have yet to decide but that should be happening sometime next month when Pine Engineering gets their stock in.

Mock up of the 8j -12 on the front

Thanks guys! It's blasphemous but I never was a big fan of MK-IIs, MK-Is and IIIs were always much cooler to me until a friend did a quick edit of my car on a wider set

I'd love a nice set of 14's for some all season tires to put on when i go out of town, etc and the MK II's have really grown on me. Looks better with the MK II's, imo.

I wouldn't give up my 14s for anything but I actually have been considering buying some 15x7 wheels with good tyres if I ever want some grippy fun, Buddyclub P1 wheels are at the top of my list. Also, Thank you, I definitely think they look better too

they were 114pcd though ;) . They are definitely one of my favourite wheels but unfortunately only the convex faced Hoshinos come in 100pcd (7j +30 as well! yuck!) which are ugly in my opinion.
