    Vmaxx coilovers?

Hello, Norway calling! As a member of MX5-Miata club of Norway, I noticed that MXParts have a 10% discount ending on wednesday. I wonder, is the fixed Vmaxx coilovers a good buy, or is the adjustable kit better? This is just for highway-use, no track-racing.

I would personally get the adjustable kit, especially if its for a dd.

Personal preference. I have the fixed version and they work great. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.

I have fixed ones as well. You can adjust ride height with them and thats all I really needed. I have had them almost two years and still no complaints. Mine are the FM Vmaxx. They come with bumpstops and nb tophats.

I have the adjustable version form FM, no complaints here other than I should have gone with the track pack springs.

The price difference is about 170 usd. Go for the adjustable.

And where you live the roads are not that great, not even for norway. ;)
Always nice to have some knobs to turn. Even its only for placebo.

Are the springs on the "basic" Vmaxx kit progressive?

Euro Vmaxx, and FM Vmaxx's are not the same. FM did quite a few changes to make Vmaxx a better product. Springs, bump stops and even valving are different.

I've read that only the rear springs and bumpstops are different.

I'm getting my Euro Vmaxxes on now (which were $377.04).

I emailed Keith about this a while ago. From what i remember, it was just rear springs and bumpstops which were different. He wasnt sure if Vmaxx had upgraded their bumpstops after..
You can purchase the rear springs from FM i think..i was considering doing this..

I emailed them back and forth before I decided to buy mine. I was told both front and rear springs were changed along with bumpstops. For the price of the fm vmaxx coilovers its not a bad deal. At least you can know they have put in time on track with them versus buying other Chinese coilovers that are a million way dampers and you can't really talk to a "miata person" how they hold up or perform. I feel like I have a little more peace of mind buying these Chinese coilovers over the unknown.
