Well we did have a Miata Club Garage / Tech Day this past Saturday at my house and we got a lot of small jobs done, Rooster's front lip and shifter boot, cleaned a Mass Air Flow on a red 1990 NA, replaced all the bulbs in the rear lights on a NB, Re-attached some Tail Light Bezels also on a NB and removed some Dealer stickers plus a fellow member had a demo on how to repair a chipped mirror housing on a 2003. Had 12 guys show up and we started of Rooster's front lip.

Finished with a shinny new lip!

Next the guys started on pulling stuff out to install a new rubber boot, the old one had holes in it!

They had a little trouble with the console for some reason. [IMG][/IMG]

    Nice new boot installed.

Way too much was going on so I didn't get to watch everything that he did but I did get some pix of him at different stages of the repair of the Mirror Housing. But he did use pieces of a paper clip to help hold the filler that he used.

He used a couple pieces of a plastic Coke bottle to conform to the curve of the mirror's housing just didn't get a pix of it as he filled in the hole.

Next he sanded it down and taped newspaper over the car to keep overspray off the window and car's finish.

The primer had a hard time drying due to how humid it was so he took a heat gun and tried to get it dry but ran out of time and had to wait until he got home to finish it. Also didn't get any pix of the other jobs done that morning, two other things we were going to do was a Hood Strutt install and a Backup Light Switch that needed replacing but the parts were on order and would not get there in time.
