    Opposing-wind springs

So as boring as the new Camry may seem, I heard that the left and right springs are wound in opposing directions. Although I haven't heard a quantitative measure of the benefits, apparently it was done as an attempt to improve "steering feel/perception at turn-in" . Does anyone have experience with this type of spring orientation?

Probably might have to do with the Camry riding on a McPherson suspension.
