Miata crashes into fence, narrowly missing pool at Kissimmee home

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of a car narrowly missed a swimming pool after crashing through a fence and careening into a screened-in area of the backyard of a Kissimmee home on Tuesday afternoon.

The 19-year-old driver was attempting to make a left turn off of Headdress Drive onto Lonesome Dove Drive, when he lost control of his 1991 Mazda Miata, according to troopers. The driver told troopers he thought he was in a different gear when he lost control of the car.

The driver did not suffer any serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.

I bet you it was some kid on cr they stated he was 19 and shifted in the wrong gear which doesn't make sense to me. You only go forward using the acceleration pedal. You downshift to a stop but go forward using the pedal or the car rolls to a stop. Your in a residential neighborhood unless your showing off driving fast and drift into someone backyard.
