    Repaint or carbon fiber hood?

FYI I am a carbon fiber junkie. So one of the issues with my car is the hood. I has many a chip and some clear coat peeling. I am debating about getting a carbon fiber hood or having the hood refinished. The cost is about the same. What would you guys do?

CF is great, but I have seen them flake and peel in the hot Florida sun, however that owner had a turbo cooking his as well. I would only do an aftermarket hood if there is some weight gain or cooling benefit. Is this CF hood lighter than stock? Probably not by much, so unless its vented for heat extraction I would just repaint your stock hood.

    just my .02 cents

I was checking that one out as well. I had one on a previous car and it was great. The difference in weight is minimal at best. I may flip a coin lol.

Sean what color is your car? I had a cf hardtop with autokonexions cf duckbill spoiler. It was fun to have but aheadache to own. Both cf pieces faded fast in florida. The car was never garaged and always in the sun. It also made my entire car look faded because it was black. So I got rid of the cf hardtop for a oem and painted my cf trunk the color of the car. It looks way better.
