    Dash removal - top bolt

Just about to pull out the dash but i just can't get the plastic cover off to reach the top bolt. Have used both a pry tool and a flathead screwdriver but both just tear up the dash instead. Whats the best tool to use and where is the best angle to get to it? Sorry if it's been brought up before but i'm desperate to get this done this weekend so any help is appreciated.

I used an angled, plastic panel tool from Harbor Freight. It doesn't hurt the dash or leave marks.

use something made from rigid plastic, metal will scratch up the dash, I had a tool for this but not sure where its at. Something like Agent Orange posted is probably perfect for this

I've always used a short flat blade screwdriver. No issues.

It's that damned bolt that's a pain since I couldn't get a socket on it. I used a 10mm folding ratchet wrench and it makes the job a little easier.

Couldn't find any of those plastic Tools so got a pick up tool instead and a set of those angled wrenches and they worked great! Thanks for all the tips everyone!

A 1/4" drive ratchet with a standard 10mm socket (not a deep one) should fit the bolt. That's what I've always used.
