    New Member From Japan!

Hi all, lived in the States for my entire life, had an NA, then moved to Japan. I bought a 1998 Roadster 1.8 a few months ago, not quite sure what package it is. I'll try and attach some photos, seeing as I just dropped off the car to have the hard top painted. It's currently in winter/typhoon mode so It hasn't had any big upgrades done to it. Expecting to get another good snowfall this year so I'm quite excited! Oh, and don't mind the antiques in the background of the last three pictures!

    Brian

Welcome Brian-san !! Great looking Roadster! Hope to see a lot of photos since you are in the Miata/Roadster Homeland! Maybe attend some local Roadster club meetings or even the huge Karuizawa Meeting in April, they get over 1000 Roadsters at that event ever year!

I definitely need to get out and find some sort of Roadster meet. My location is a little isolated so It's pretty expensive to get down to more populated areas. I'll have to look into Karuizawa, I'm ashamed to say I've never heard of it. Although, I do plan on making a trip down to Tokyo Auto Salon next year.

Thanks! How's the driving down in Kyoto? I was just in Nagoya two weeks ago for the Formula 1 race.

For me, it was more like, "Your going over here for a while, enjoy"! I'm not complaining too much though

You will love Tokyo Auto Salon, it is like no other car show in the world. It's like 3 football fields worth of tricked out cars. Even the parking lot has a ton of hooked up cars. Bring a backpack to hold all the stuff you buy, and bring some comfortable walking shoes as there is a ton to see. I went three days in a row and still missed a lot, there was just too much to see!

I'm an exchange student over here, so no car for me lol. My Roadster's back in Texas. If I had somewhere to park a car here, I'd probably get one. I haven't really seen the roads around Kyoto yet; just got here a month ago or so. The roads in the city are city-ish lol.

I did get to see some of the roads around Nagoya a couple weeks ago, though, and they're gorgeous (and full of awesome cars)!

Is it getting cold up there yet?
