I need to do that to mine too

Just FYI: 14x8 -6 with 205 NT01s don't fit under a lightly rolled rear fender. Rubbing on all four corners. I don't think I have funding to do what I want with the fenders right now, so the tires will probably get swapped onto the TRA Kyotos for upcoming track duty and the Sharks will return from the closet which they came. I'll try to take some decent pictures before that.

Awesome star sharks!!! Surely not worth chewing up the brand new tires. And it's a major disappointment when you're rubbing in turns and over bumps.
They sure look good tho! Crystal ball says FLARES

I'm sure they would look great.. bummer about the fitment but I'm sure you already knew it wasn't going to fit.. how is the caliper clearance on those wheels? I wonder if you could shave the back pad a little
geffrocks86, I think the current plan is pull as much as possible, then cover with GR Craft "flares."
I was extremely confident they wouldn't fit , wanted to see with my eyes how much work would need to be done. There's basically no back pad to shave, 5mm until spoke, I wouldn't want to do that to these anyway.

Ahh word.. ya just pull to all hell
My build thread and my Instagram.
Exactly.
Took the GV tails off today to do them correctly. I used Adam's extremely helpful guide. Wired up the reverse light, which failed later in the day, probably because I used the supplied vamp clip instead of the soldering iron I pulled out to do it with. So I'll revisit that tomorrow.
Drilled out two holes in the fiberglass so I could use the top two license plate bolts (usdm/jdm license plate differences). Now my GV panel is actually being held in with 4 bolts instead of two, yay! Also installed the supplied double sided tape around the edges of the tails and aligned it correctly. The double sided tape is pretty weak though.
Not pictured: Water has been getting into my trunk from the taillights! I followed Jamie's recommendation and laid some silicone across the panel gap, no water in the trunk now! Good thing, it rained last night. I'm a happy camper.
Time to reverse the wheels and rock 14x8 up front :kekeke:
LOL! I pulled out the rear and fronts some more. Rear tire got shaved down just enough so that they don't rub now I think, fronts still rub under compression when turning.
^ Not a ginger, just the lighting, I swear.
155k on the odometer now. Probably 155k on these old hubs too. Changing them out has got to be the easiest maintenance I've ever done on a miata.
^ I do have dust caps. They were a bitch to get off, but they went back on, because it's the right thing to do.
