2,000 rpm - light wheelspin, no bog here!
WTB Hardtop for Shinsen project
Starting a new project and looking for a hardtop for it. This will be going on a Shinsen, so bonus if it's Titanium Grey or dark metalic blue colored (Starlight, Twilight, 10AE Sapphire, 2002 SE Laser or 2003 SE Strato) but I can work with any color, and deal with a little damage. Better condition, better paint, including the brackets and Frankenstein bolts will raise the price. Not looking for a steal, just looking for one around $1000 and local-ish, or shipped for the same price.
On edit: willing to pay $1000 for a good condition top of any color near DFW. Will pay more for better condition, color, or brackets. Will still pay, but less, for a roach that need restoration or shipping.

The best way to find a hardtop is Craigslist. There are sites like Searchtempest that can help you search CL a bit more efficiently. Also, reach out to your network of Miata friends...people who will be able to judge a top's condition in your stead from their area.
I found mine through Stevan. It was a BRG in DFW. We had a mutual friend driving coast to coast who offered to pick it up on his way to California for me. It worked smooth as silk and had it repainted to match my car. Good luck!

3,000 rpm - starting to feel the power
I purchased a hardtop last week. I use a craigslist app on my phone and I waa able to search craigslist locally along with surounding states at the same time. The seller wanted 1000.00 for his top. I picked it up for 800 and it was only an hour away. 1 hour 5 minutes according to what gps said. The easiest way to get hardtop is search craigslist a few times a day and as soon as you see one listed call the seller. Mine was listed for less than an hour.
