    Can't wait!

I've started on a new quest!

About a year ago, we had 3 vehicles in the family, an old Buick, Jeep Wrangler, and a Chevy Silverado 2500HD!

The problem living in the NE snow region, is the premature deaths of our beloved cars! Between the horrid road conditions(moon crater size pot holes) and after the winter passes, the slow and painful death your car suffers rusting from within out!

I've lived here for almost 20 years, and have had enough!

The last car I had to junk, because it was too rusted out to pass the safety inspection was my Jeep Wrangler! It only had 90,000 miles on it! The Jeep was my last "fun car" with a 5sp.

Finally getting off my keister and moving to the Sunshine state!

Now I can own a nice car again, that's fun, and not look like it escaped the junk yard

We've been admiring the Miatas in Florida for sometime now, and pretty much decided on an NC!

    Hello, Charlie

Welcome to the forum. You can drive a Miata year round in Florida.

Where in Florida are you moving too? There are a lot of Miata clubs here.

    Thanks everyone!

Phatmiata, we are moving to the Tampa area. We already spend the winter months here, and hate going back in the spring! Haven't seen snow, or ice in 5 years

Buy the biggest air conditioner you can cheaply and bring it with you. Also, why would you want to move to a dive like Tampa anyway?

The older I get, the more I despise the cold and that also goes for A/C! The only time I use it, is if I just took a shower and don't feel like sweating for a while!

As far as Tampa is concerned. You can call it whatever you like, but after spending most of my life living close to NYC, Tampa is a delightful and refreshing change!

I just hope those pesky Nuw Yawkers, don't come down to the west coast and ruin it
