I will be very soon stepping from mod slammed to slammed. I already have a front skid plate and am looking to fab up a rear skidplate. I am very curious to see how others have gone about this.......

Has anyone had damage to their diff?
I've only seen damage to the PPF/ PPF bolts, and the rear subframe brace.
I've seen pics of diffs that had one or both of the wings broken off because of hitting large bumps on the highway ..... definitely don't need that to happen .....
I think koukis diff got messed up real bad.
The rear diff on my '92 Miata ate itself when I hit a pothole, had to get a used pumpkin from the junkyard. But i dont think any skid plate would have saved my car from that pothole.
Well at certain times its inevitable but for others id like the peice of mind.....
It's happened to me; the bolts on the third member grabbed a poorly paved manhole cover and broke an arm off the diff housing. The bolts them selves got banana'd and I pretty much sheared the top of them off.
It happens. This is 'K-feds' NA.

^^^^^^^ that is exactly what I'm trying to avoid...... so I've got a few ideas in mind for how to build the plate..... can anyone post up some others?
Yeah, that is definitely not a fun thing to have happen. Kfed's damage to the subframe looks gnarlier than mine did though.
^^My NB's rearend post manhole cover
^^Breezy's Dif plate. Of course all the damage here has been from catching those two bolts left exposed...
Yeah my design covers those and will be welded and gusseted to the subframe....... hoping for bomb proof reliability .......
