Greenville, SC...I am just down the road, a tad out of your price range, but do have a very well maintained $4K Emerald Green NB2...2001 Car, has been previously owned also by MX5Atlanta Owners in the last 8 or so years...
Edit: 2 Hour Drive South...car is "technically" in Travelers Rest, SC, but figured you would possibly know Greenville a bit better as a name...

How much work does your miata require? Does it have large body damages, rust? Imho if it does require a lot of work sell the miata and get a NB. If not, search for old school corolla or a mazda protege or 323.

thanks!! It is a 99 base model. i picked up out of Rock Hill, SC. 209,000 mileage. it did very well on the way back. f
