Ugh.....not too long(6-8"), iirc, since you are just going from the clock spring connection to said screw. I didn't cut my clock spring out but simply tucked it under the steering column.

I have to look at it again. For some reason, mine would unplug when I would turn.
Well, I'm not having any luck finding a 9-bolt adapter so what i'm thinking about doing is filling the existing holes, welding a plate in the center, ordering a horn button and 6-bolt hub adapter. From there I will make my measurements and drill the appropriate holes to make everything work. I'm open to any suggestions though as i'm pretty intent on using this wheel. The only reason i'm considering going this path is because I may at some point down the road decide I want another wheel, and i'd like to be able to use the same adapter.
