Planet Miata concerns

Sup guys? I was in the market for a catalytic coverter for my 92 NA to finish my exhaust. I found planet Miata and figured I'd give them a shot and placed a order. Saved a few bucks as well using the mazdaroadster coupon. So...long story short it's been over two weeks and I still haven't seen anything arrive. No email confirmation or anything. I emailed a couple times with no response. I called last week and whoever it was that picked up said that it shipped out Friday the 22nd. So I waited and waited and waited. I just called again today to find out what's going on but they just told me that they will call me back. Has anyone dealt with planet Miata or experience anything like this before? I'm seriously thinking about cancelling my order.

Sorry you are having trouble. I've ordered a few things from them and never had a problem.

That's good to hear Martin. I understand that they most likely had to drop ship if it's not instock, but it's taking longer than expected. I called the 866 number but that always go to voicemail but whenever I call the 570 number same person picks up but rarely helps me at all.

Same. I would ask for a tracking number, write the person's name you speak with each time, date, time. They have been good to me each time I used them. From where they are, and your location, you should have received it pretty quickly.

Planet Miats is a used parts supplier, correct? I believe i have seen others give positive feedback but no first hand experience. I have however ordered numerous times, probably 15-20 transactions, with Tom at The Parts Group in Florida and he shipped out the same day usually but next day at latest.

I've asked for the tracking number when I first reached out to them. They said they don't have it and I should've recieved it either on the 25th or 26th of March.

Yes, they are a used parts supplier. Should've known from the get-go to order new parts from them.

I've dealt with them several times without issue. A friend just bought a transmission from them and it was a smooth transaction. I'd call tomorrow and ask for a shipping number and if they can't give you one, I'd ask for a refund due to it being lost.

Like others, I've had nothing but smooth dealings with Planet Miata. I've never heard anything negative about them. I hope things are resolved for you soon.

While I have also had positive dealings with them, if you need one quickly for inspection purposes I am down in Greenville, SC and do have them...would be a day turn around and can have out in the AM...I sell cats for nothing more then scrap price plus shipping...

I placed an order for a magnaflow direct fit. Good news, finally got an email this morning with a tracking number after I asked them to cancel my order. They said that warehouse never shipped it out.
