Help! EUNOS / MOMO Hub in US Airbag Car - Wiring Interference?
The hub that came with my EUNOS (MOMO) wheel does not work with the wiring on my 1991 US spec car. The boss / wheel hub can't be used until I either remove or relocate the wiring that comes out of the clock spring assembly.
Any input? Just buy a new hub / Boss kit?
I'm particularly disappointed because the wheel isn't in great shape, the hub was supposed to offset the cost of total purchase. I've also already pulled my front airbag sensors and wiring in anticipation... ugh.

Thanks to the google, and Amazon reviews of MOMO's Boss Kit: I've discovered that unfortunately, much hacking is necessary to make this work. Which is incredible to me, for a part that retails for almost $100.
Should have bought a Daikei from the start... *sigh*.

On NB's, I have found a guide that included complete removal of the clock spring in order to install an OEM NA MOMO hub. Which is a pity, as I have one on the way...

HarryB: Link, please? I'm not opposed to removing things (clock spring and wiring rework), I'd just rather not have to drill/grind and weaken the piece that's holding my steering in place!
How do you wire the horn with the clock spring stuff removed?

As said, it is NB-specific; it is reportedly working on NB2s but no idea how NAs are.
