Thanks Paul! I think they would since the Marrad seat has higher leg/side bolsters.

They definitely tighten the chassis up but egress is definitely 'tighter' too. I thought I would like a cage but as long as Warbird is my daily that won't happen.

Without measuring I can't say for sure, currently at work, but i think it is pretty close. You can adjust the seat left/right via the side mount/slider bolts but it will limit seat travel due to the seat hitting the tras tunnel or door bars. I can't adjust it one way or another w/o limiting seat travel to the point my wife couldn't adequately reach the peddles. Overall dimensions of the seat? Here they are:

Entrance and egress are not as big a deal as you think. Door bar show the most of it. Of course the Marrad lower bolster is almost as high. As for the front. You have installed pretty door panels. Do you let your feet stick out and hit those? You just have to bend and the knee a bit more. And I have have had two knee surgeries.

The biggest thing is the seat and belt. Mine is a '95 so I could do the rip-stop removal and don't have to pull the cage for replacement belts.

The seat needs to be low enough to keep your noggin' safe on the roads. I got with Martha @ Hard Dog to make me some side bar ( upper connecting tubes to the front section ) HDRBP ( High-density roll bar padding ) and covers. She worked wonders. The only thing is the price will go up on this add because it requires two pieces of the larger HDRBP on a cage. Don't have my pass. side seat in yet so haven't purchased the second piece.

My seat adjuster got removed and the settings locked for the future track days. To the other Monkey!

Thanks! I would love to know the dimension in between the thigh bolsters at the hip/belt holes, and at the leading edge where the seat ends. Also the center cushion width on the seat back where it meets the seat/lumbar.

14 1/4" between belt holes. From plastic to plastic of inside belt hole it's 14 3/4".

    14 1/2" (heavy 1/2) at front end

    12 1/4" (heavy 1/4) at lumbar

I won't let my wife drive my cars. Easiest solution? Don't put any keys for them in her key chain.

07-17-16: Wow, almost a whole month since my last post! ;) Unfortunately nothing too interesting other than a few pics but I would like to say that I absolutely LOVE the DIY Roadster door bars!!

Feedback on the DIY Roadster door bars:

After almost a month of use I can say they really did tighten up the chassis better than any other chassis brace so far, which includes Flyin Miata frame rails, Flyin Miata butterfly brace and GarageStar fender braces. They also help to even out some/certain bump harshness while, oddly enough, making some more bumps more apparent than before. I guess this is because they tighten the chassis up so well.

Really the ONLY complaint I have is getting out, getting in isn't much harder but getting out is a pain and can definitely see why some don't want them on a daily. Even with the latter complaint I definitely recommend them!

On to the reason for todays post which is some long over due "glamour" pics with my 'recently' acquired Nikon D3300 w/ a 18-35mm lens. Bare in mind a am an absolute amateur and all pics were taken using the auto feature w/ the flash disabled. Hope you enjoy them!

Chad, I love the trimmed rear Diffuser ! Your lighting is where I want to head next. Your LED's look great as do the heads! Have some H-4s for the Jass in an upcoming order. But Noir is fighting me for race-wear. Will update my build soon.

    Peace Bro!
