Ps. I actually have a piece of this car. KG Works "Roadster" third brake light cover that I bought from Randy.
Yeah, agreed.
Here's a pic on your car:
Before and after on my car. Of course, this is no longer being used, since i have the AK trunk, but I will be keeping it and the OEM trunk to swap out from time to time.

Thought I'd check in, have been lurking on and off but not posted anything in quite a while. Nothing much has been added to the car except a EUNOS oil cap from Adam at RevLimiter. Getting the Rooster ready for the trip to see the Dragon again next week at MATG.

Figured I'd jump back on here and give an update. The Rooster will live again, finally found a motor and will start putting him back together. Hopefully will be up and running by end of March. Phat asked if I would be able to make it to this years Miatapalooza, not sure yet.

Motor? I thought there were ECU troubles?
From what I recall, this car has a mildly built '99 motor, right?
For those who did not know what happened to make a long story short. On the way to MATG last year, we broke down in Athens, TN., the thrust bearing failed. After we got back home, we went to two different shops, 1st shop thought it was ECU problems, at 2nd shop they saw crank walk, and took engine apart. There was almost nothing left of the thrust bearing and the crank was grinding on the block, and pieces of the thrust bearing were up all in the head so motor is gone, but more "good news" the 2nd shop was going out of business and we had to come get the car. But a friend stepped up that had his own shop, and he moved Rooster to his place, but we still had a hard time finding a motor ( needed a '99 or 2000) and it took from 1st of Dec. until Feb to find one. But we are starting this week to get Rooster back on the road.
