Thruxton is doing a AJ30 swap as well on Mighty5.

Title makes me think you're doing the swap.

Do it. £6000 for the kit is good value in my eyes compared to a V8 setup.
It is however £6k for all that work - price excludes the initial purchase of a good running engine...
Edit: Personally I'd go with a V6 swap over a turbo or supercharger setup. More original and more reliable in the long run. I remember reading somewhere that the engine can be tuned for 400bhp~ with work, mostly from cam upgrades. Need to find where I read that.

On Mighty5 they're doing it for quite a bit less, and using OEM crossmember.
The biggest issue is this is all happening across the pond from Texas.
Engines are not a issue here, Jags are cheap....I got a complete XJS w/V12 for $200.
Long term project, but it will be rad and have a cool lump.

I seem to remember a V12 Miata from some years back.

I've always been curious on either a small V8, as in, Dino 208 GT4 small. Itsy bitsy 2.0L V8, amazing sound but you still have to wring it's neck to get any appreciable performance out of it.
I've seen a lot of MX6 swaps using the 2.5L KLZE V6 engine. A few people have calimed and documented the entire car having no change in weight, some even claim the car's lost weight with the swap.
Considering the V6 engine are all aluminium builds, it wouldn't surprise me...
