That is the weekend after my cousin's wedding. Damn. I will see what I can do as far as taking more time off.

I hope you got to talk to James a bit. I've known him for YEARS and he's the best. Just a super friend and generous guy.

I did but he was busy also, which was understandable. He recognized the Filipino in me. So I will work on trying to get more information on AMP on 22Oct2017. See if James has any more spots and how much it is.

I was surprised you didn't ask to ride out there with me. I think I did 2 or 3 session solo, took a passenger with me during the rest.

I was going to but I had to get home before 5pm. I had another event to attend that evening but it never happened so I missed out. I was kinda bummed but the drive both ways in the NB made it worth it. On the way home, I didn't even bother with the AC. Just popped open the Vent Windows and then cracked the windows and I was good. Just kind of loud. Forgot that I took my ear plugs out of the car. I am in contact with James right now asking about AMP. So maybe.

Don't forget to tell him I sent you. Danny too!
If you don't drive, I think we can get you in a few cars. Always a lot of Miatas and Exocets at AMP events. ;)

Will do. He asked me if I had driven AMP before and I said no. Maybe he doesn't feel this would be a good one for me to start with?
He suggested AMP because those are his signature events. He has a terrific relationship with that track and they are very good to us.

To KFJ, TOS, and Tsingson,
It is so awesome that you guys drove your cars long distances to get to the track, raced the course multiple times, hung out, and then drove the same car back home.

Danny and Steven were able to get some track time in. I did the walkthrough and took pictures. Not glamorous but enjoyed it nonetheless.
Thanks! I have done this sort of thing a number of times in a couple of cars. I just make certain to monitor the car and maybe drive 7/10s. I have a lot of friends in and around Charlotte, some are Miata-related, so I knew I had a good backup plan if shite went pear-shaped. It was 50/50 on the number of participants who trailered their cars in. Half the fun was catching up to other drivers on the drive in on I-85. Still, when I do these long-distance trips for HPDEs, I have a tiny voice in my head that says something like this:

I was thinking about this over the drive from Charlotte to Atlanta, the number of tracks I have driven this car on. I had to think about it because of the length of ownership and the different cars I drove on them. I think this is the up to date list:
Gingerman Raceway
Grattan Raceway
Waterford Hills Raceway
Michigan International Raceway
Mid Ohio Raceway
Virginia International Raceway
Atlanta Motorsports Park
Road Atlanta
Willow Springs Int'l Raceway
Streets of Willow
Horse Thief Mile
Button Willow Raceway
Laguna Seca Raceway
AAA Autoclub Raceway
Charlotte Motorsport Raceway
I hope to drive it on Carolina Motorsports Park, Hutchinson's Island Raceway, Barber Motorsports Park, and a few others soon.
