I prefer mid-turn flexibility.
I prefer mid-turn flexibility.
No no, I understand. Its a little easier for me to make corrections with toe out and to rotate the car. Your preferences will be steady and and true. *Sort of* like a static version of Nissans HICAS or Hondas 4WS system from the 80s/90s.
Alignment completed. The toe was definitely jacked.
I was going to bring my spare, new camber bolts, but forgot.
I suspect the rear bolts are worn, so that was my limiting factor. No big deal. The car tracks a lot better, Im happy.

New alignment feels good, got up to Mexico-testing speeds on the commute in. A few southern-style PM thundershowers put the water channeling abilities on the new Contis to the test. Yup, works great!
My second set of these tires and they still impress for this purpose.

Sounds like nice tires, to bad they are hard to get in Norway in 15 205/50.

Crazy! They are one of the best tires sold in that size here and every decent tire shop sells them. They compare directly to Michelin Pilot Sports and a Pirelli, but for a bit less.
I set up my appointment to replace the windshield. I was sure to specify clear glass, no tint strip at the top.

I took advantage of some holiday offers a couple of weeks ago to try ceramic coating. Avalon King Armor Shield 9. It may be few weeks before I try it.

BTW, Steve...you ever notice that those tires seem to flat-spot easily? Seems if I leave the car sitting for more than a couple days that for the first 5-10mi of the next drive that the car wants to shake a bit somewhere near 40mph.

Honestly, some of the 200tw tires Ive used in the past were way worse.

New tires reminded me to get centering rings. Im usually pretty good at mounting the wheels back on the car, but I dont always get it right at the vibration is annoying.
67.3mm to 54.1 aluminum rings found on Amazon:
Its sticky-ball-humid now so Im dripping in sweat performing this easy task in the evening.
The anti-seize is to aid installation and slow/prevent galvanic corrosion between the rings, rotor, and hub. Just a dab then I smeared it all over the surfaces of the rings.
Wiped the center bores on the wheels clean.
Reinstalled and torqued. You can see the rings though the center bore at this angle.
Test drive was a success!
I want to add, the full AC system refurb I did a couple of years ago works fantastic in this weather.
