Hot Wheels Downhill Racing Edition!!

Welcome to Tampa Bay Miatas! Now with 50% more Hot Wheels!!! Come out and meet the "east side" crew, we generally get 10 to 20 Miatas every week, so come on out and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow Miata owners.

This weeks challenge winner gets a Free "R-Speed" Tee-Shirt!!! or Five-Guys Gift Card
We will have TWO Winners!!! 1st and 2nd place.

The challege is to bring the heaviest 1/64 Scale Hot Wheels car! NOTE: It Must be me stamped with "Hot Wheels" on the base of the car, no Matchbox, Etrl, Johnny Lighting, etc, only Hot Wheels will be considered, they can be from any year, any series from the .99 cents blue cards or the 4.99 premium line and up, free from the blister or mint on card, or even old redlines!!!

So go raid your dad's, uncle's, neighbors, or best friend's diecast collection, or just raid the local Target and Wal-Mart stores!!!!




All cars will be weighed on a digital postal scale for accuracy!!

Here is actual 1/64 scale downhill racing, this is where the weight of the cars and wheels can make the difference!

This is from the big Hot Wheels Convention they have every year in California.

That track is something like 40 feet long.

They used to run downhill races like this in Tampa but folks started betting "real" money and it got shut down.

makes me miss the ol pinewood derby races in cub scouts! looks like fun. wish i could make it. my step dad has thousands and thousands of hot wheels collected over the years, im sure i could find a winner

I used did that as a kid growing up, but I made mine all aerodynamic and everyone else just barely took any wood of theirs, so yeah I lost. Bummer, but i was like 5 or 6 years old then hahaha.

They used to race cars here in Tampa and they had a modified class and stock class, in the modified class these guys would change the wheels, and fill the cars with lead, pretty wild to hold a 1 or 2 pound hot wheels car in your hand, hahaha

I'm waiting for this new Hot Wheels Mugen Mid-Engine Honda CR-X to come out, this will surely fly off the pegs!
