    MSM FMII Conversion Assistance needed

    I know a few of you folks on here have the FMII kit on your cars. I just got the kit for my MSM and am currently stuck. I can't get the oil drain line off of the side of the engine. Can anyone give a tip on how to get to it. It's ridiculously cramped in there and is the last thing I need to do to pull everything out.

    Any help is appreciated!

    I assume that you're talking about where the turbo drain line bolts to the pan, if so, perhaps the below image will help you visualize what you need to do. IIRC those are 10mm nuts, there's also a gasket in between the drain flange and the oil pan, sometimes it requires a little prying after those nuts are removed. Likely the best idea is to remove the plastic undertray and get at it from under the car, of course that is subframe territory too.

    I've got a lot less horsepower - luckily they are Japanese horses - usually in better shape and more motivated.

    I ended up getting it. Had to remove the A/C compressor to reach it. What a pain in the butt. Oh well.


    New problem... does anyone know the size of the EGR connection on the exhaust manifold?
