Easiest to post the thread links here but I've been making these:

I also made this:
any way to get you to make me just the center piece, if it's the same size as the Sazaire piece? my center piece fell off, and it looks wierd.
The centre fell off How was it supposed to be held on?
If you could tell me the dimensions I could probably make it but it sounds like it'll only fall off again.
Sounds like I should make a few more of my design
it's a 2 piece part. wait..... that IS an ignition trim ring, right? like this one:
Or am I taking a totally wrong guess?
The center piece turns with the key, while the larger piece is mounted to the outer part of the lock cylinder. I used a thin scraping of silicone glue to hold it in place.
my center piece came off at some point and vamoosed.
It certainly is an ignition cover plate. The centre on the one I made sits in a recessed section on the back, no way can it fall out. It's for a friend and should fit nicely by just using thick double sided tape or glue.
If you have some digital calipers or some way to measure for the missing piece I'd be more than willing to turn the piece up or maybe make another of my design if you like.
Bear in mind I'm in the UK
I've been watching my IATs get outrageously hot lately due to the TX Summer heat & humidity and the mostly short, frequent, low-speed trips I've been making in my daily routine. For a few days I just drove around with the barn doors up, but that started to irritate me, so it was time for yet another project...
I started off with Adam's fantastic DIY write-up (found here: http://www.revlimiter.net/mods/duct_install.php) but instead of the carbon fiber duct I picked up a fiberglass piece from The Chassis Shop (http://secure.chassisshop.com/partlist/5731/ -- Model# C42-017). It turns out that this was a good thing, because I found that the OEM headlights are more restrictive in usable space than the Moss lopros. I had to hack up the duct a bit to fit (notched and bent it to follow the curve of the lid some) and I underestimated my clearance which meant adding a bit more fiberglass at the back as well.
Based on some of the info provided by Adam and also for visual balance, I folded the lid back and under to reinforce and make the rear edge more three dimensional.
Fiberglass and I have a very antagonistic relationship, but I'm satisfied with my efforts this go-round. I'm not proud of my fiberglass work, but I am satisfied with it.
I still need to smooth everything up a bit and then paint and assemble. I also plan to add some filler to smooth the back edge of the lid where the air will pass through.
Not exactly a smooth start, but I think the worst of it is behind me now.

I'm pretty satisfied of my new center console. it was fun and interesting to work on it. Just need to get the arm rest done to complete the set.

Fresh left, finished right for a Mazdaspeed Protege
The other day I made some door pulls for about $1.
Took two 12" strips of webbed nylon from a boating store, folded them in half, stuck a grommet though them, and used the bits that hold the edge of the parcel shelf carpet down to mount it.
BOOM, yummy!
^ how does it feel for not having an arm rest ?
Quite a bit more comfortable. There's somewhere for my knee to go when I'm waiting a stoplights and whatnot.
I'm a small dude too, so I'd imagine this would be even more beneficial for bigger Miata owners.
I still need to find something to cover the hole for the door pocket though.
I also want to find some better nylon. The red is alright, but the weave could be better IMO. But then again, it was cheaper than a soda.
Nice re-purposing of the top stoppers! Check out strapworks.com for some other choices on webbing. I found them to be affordable and offered lots of choices.
