The MX 5 is a classic example of a roadster coupe and soft top convertible combined and the upgrade has made the vehicle far more desirable. The improved exterior features a new front bumper, an aerodynamic body shape, new paint schemes, new rim designs and a new cabin ambience.
The car is available in a new shade of Dolphin Gray Mica with gloss finishing and this makes the cabin design stand out from the exterior, which has been done up in a darker shade of gray. The MX 5 has always been quite pleasing to drive and the car is among the worlds best driver oriented vehicles present.
The car has a new engine at the helm and features advanced throttle response and suspension to fire up the car. The transmission puts the power to the engine at the optimum moment and this fire up the car at the precise moment.

The throttle pedal ratio has been enhanced for better manual control and the driver has increased amounts of power at his disposal. Hence, the driver has full control of the vehicle at a low rpm as well as higher speeds.
Braking has been enhanced with the installation of the vacuum brake booster, which has been optimized to provide better braking capabilities from higher speeds. The brake booster comes in handy when the car enters a sharp corner at high speeds. The advanced controls decelerate when the driver enters a corner and automatically accelerates out of the turn.
This new technology makes driving an easier and more pleasurable task and the acceleration of the MX 5 is quite smooth, as compared to its predecessor. Mazdas enhanced technology which sees the car and the driver as one, is also revolutionary and does its bit to make driving a better experience.

Apart from the new aggressive look, the better aerodynamic features, improved handling, enhanced acceleration and braking, the MX 5 also features advanced pedestrian safety measures.
The new active bonnet technology used in the Mazda MX 5 automatically raises the bonnet of the car if a pedestrian hit is detected. This helps the car soften the impact and the car absorbs much of the blow, hence, reducing damage by a considerable amount.
