The original plan was to meet at Krispy Kreme around 4 and leave at 4:30. Maybe grab some McDonalds on the way or IN Rosamond, then roll into the track round 7ish. This was never fully planned out, for that I apologize.
^ sounds like a good plan to me!

Okay everyone, we're meeting at Krispy Kreme at Puente Hills Mall around 4AM and departing promptly at 4:30 AM. We're gonna make our way down the 60, head north on the 5, and then down the 14. Then we'll get some breakfast at the McDonald's on Rosamond Blvd before heading down the street to WSIR for a roughly 7-7:15AM roll in. Sound ok? Well I don't care what you think. This is what I'm going to do regardless of whatever you want to do. So follow me, or don't. Meet me at Krispy Kreme then fly down the freeway on your own or meet me at McDonald's. Do whatever you wanna do. This is Plan B. I'll see you Saturday morning =)
OK, everyone, change of plans. We will be going up and over Angeles Crest Highway. Departure times won't change because using ACH potentially only take 6 more minutes than using freeways. If we still take off at 4:30, should be exiting the 210 onto Angeles Crest Highway at about 5AM. Change meetings accordingly. See you tomorrow... actually, more like tonight, haha.
Have fun y'all.

Thanks for the sweet pic, Steve!
Had a great time doing ride alongs all day, a few kinoders managed to find their way into a ride in Creampuff which was fun.
Hopefully more people will make it to the track in future events too... I think Jeremy D. is the next one to get hooked on the crack pipe ;)

Riding in Creampuff was absolutely crazy. 115 mph around turn 8 and the car felt like it had more in it. Also, passing 5 cars in turn 2 was a blast.
It does have more in it
I normally see the speedo going past 120 in T8 and the straightway, during the ride alongs I got it to 117-118 in both places.
My normal pace is about 4 secs quicker given a cleanish lap, but I dialed it back a couple notches in all the ride alongs, and while I'm sure no one felt like things were'nt moving fast enough I can tell you that I was definitely over slowing for T9, T1 was also very conservative - I normally brake much shorter and deeper and keep it in 5th, same thing in T3, where I stuck it in 3rd rather than going at it faster and keeping it in 4th...
Passing 5 cars in T2 was hilarious, I was cracking up in my helmet... it was like carving through a slow moving freight train - first 3 on the inside then a shift to the left mid corner and getting the next 2 on the outside... hahahaha!
Recap and some seriously sweet pics coming to my CR build log later on today.
