Red face Hello from New Mexico!

Former RX7 Gen1 owner here. Been a long time since I got behind the wheel of a sports car.
Just got my silver '01 this past Christmas and am loving it.
Looking forward to taking some drives up into Colorado, and maybe to the coast this summer.

It's definitely a rare sight, butby definition it is a sports car!

Do you miss the rx7 at all? That generation has the indestructable 12a motor correct? I have always wanted an rx7, any generation would suffice. The miata is definitely the more practical and reliable choice though, lol.

Welcome to the forums, post up some pictures!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone !
Oh yea, I do miss the RX7. Bought it new, drove the heck out of it, got into motorcycles and the Mazda got shoved farther and farther into the corner until last year when I rolled it out and brought it back to life. It was a great car, lots of speed, but not a great handler. I ended up selling it to one of my old friends who has always admired it, so at least it went to a good home.
I've been looking at Miatas for awhile now, and finally found the '01 LS locally for a decent price. Interior is much smaller than the RX7, I feel like I'm in a cocoon. (6'1" 215 lbs) But it does fit like a glove. <big grin>
I'll post up some pics when the weather gets better and I can find a decent place to get some nice shots.
Oh, and the first Gen RX7 had the 13B engine...
