EDITED: Hey MR. Im MJ, im from Clearwater, FL.
I purchased my '92 Miata, Last saturday. Im stilling scraping up the funds to do maintenance work and start my Miata wishlist, it def needs TLC. ((college kid, with part-time job))
Im a honda kid, and RWD was something Ive always wanted to experience. "initial d fan"
Honda S2000;s are sexy, but the Miata has history, more character, and I love the bug-flipped headlights! Ive also never worked on a car before. So my Miata is the most personal car Ive ever owned! The huge following and supporters for these roadsters is wonderful. Im happy to be apart of it. Now that its sunny in Florida, every young & old guy in a Miata, gives me the thumbs up. Every girl wants to ride in it. ((sounds like my life just changed LOL jk)
i bought my Miata for 2k$ with 123k miles on the odometer. Im the 4th owner, last was owner was a smoker . But she's my baby now. The old guy I bought it from started to cry once he gave me the title. and his goodie bag full of vintage HOTWHEELS!
originally painted White, saving up to go back to White.
but the 2nd owner, was some lady, who painted the car red, an ECONO 240$ paint job
i still have the receipt from that failure. paint looks almost pink (faded) and is chipped in the corners.
rips in leather seats, dashboard has a crack in it (looks fixable, but i doubt it)
needs a finished tune up, timing belt maintenance
spark plugs (the last owner didn't like the NGKs for some reason)
so far ive changed the oil/filter, air filter, by myself, with my friend's guidance LOL. Remember im new to the DIY aspect of cars.
please let me know where to start when it comes to mods and MAINTENANCE for a better car inside and out. I really want to have a clean interior, and fix my motor that doesnt have weird squeaks.
has an old old old cd player and the worst speakers, sounds like an old 60's radio.
Im concerned with the engine being well kept. I don't want to turbo my Daily Driven car, But if there are some nice bolt-ons that won't make my car sound like a 'fart in a can' please feel free to direct me into looking at those mods.
I def want to bring my Miata back to glory.
