I don't see a roof. But that may be the lighting.

I see seat and top of the rollbar. No roof up.

My hardtop hangs in the garage and I deleted the soft top (was damaged) and I wash the car at least once a week, so I've gotten pretty good at keeping most of the water on the outside. Considering how I found this car, a splash here and there will do no harm.
I've had several roadsters over the years, living in SoCal by the beach, tops are down unless it's raining so this is how it works best for me.

I've washed my cars a few times with the top down. It's not difficult.

I put together a carwash cart today...bought a medium sized 4 wheel cart that would hold wash and rinse buckets up top, soap, towels and tools below. I strapped the pressure washer to one end and I'm good to go!
My garage is in the backyard, through a gate and across the patio. I park in the driveway in front of the gate, so I generally have to schlep everything out past the gate. Today it's all on wheels. I had to test it out so I washed the wife's car.

Are you putting it under the carpet or on the inside of the tunnel?

Inside of the tunnel, under the car.

Really? How're you getting that stuff on (and more importantly...how are you cleaning off the transmission tunnel with the driveshaft and transmission in the way?)?

Brake cleaner and a rag. That weird guy at Miatamecca has an interesting video about how to do it.

In the meantime, I’ve had this Suzuki Cappuccino washer bottle sitting on my shelf for about a year. Thought it was time to put it to use. About $10 in hardware got it done, just need to wire it up.

Lots of room now on the cold side:
