Hi!
I'm looking to restore / update my control arms (up, down, left, right, front, back). I've been looking at tubular arms, but they'll ending up costing more than I paid for the car. I want to get a complete, uprated set (new, uprated bushings) so that i can do a direct swap —*anyone know anyone selling / where to get?

I've found a set on Ebay just now. Not shipping to Norway, but I can Jet-Carrier* it. Still looking for alternatives, though.

*NJ to Norway forwarding

I'm kinda in the mind set that if I go this route I would go ahead and do the V8Roadsters setup, although they are more expensive, they are stronger, lighter, and offer more room for support for suspension and brake upgrades.

Probably worth it, though a tad too expensive for my rat. I'll guess a set of standard ones + bushings is the way to go for me.

If you wanna get fancy you can sandblast and paint or powdercoat the arms when putting in new bushings.

Yeah, thats my plan, so far. Buy a complete, restored set and sandblast my old arms. Then sell them as "ready for new bushings". Mine are shot :(

Come on Arin, stop that rat shit. Your car has little or no rust, got some dents but absolutely a keeper.

Start planning longer forward, and invest in quality. Sell some of those fancy steering-wheels you collect and buy those V8Roadsters control arms.

V8Roadsters control arms are $1,745 included bushings.

Bushes alone are 300,-. So 1445,- for control arms from V8Roadsters . :slayer:

I can't get to shipping, say it is $250 to Norway, then add tax and voilá: $2500.
Of course its a keeper, but on a limited budget. Its a 98% daily driver and spending 2500 usd on control arms would kill my budget for other things that I also need.

So far, altough I've only found one set on eBay, a complete, refreshed set seems like my way to go.
(my initial thought was that this was something quite common and readily available, for spec / budget racing)

Ps. it was a complete rat! still is, just a bit nicer.
