Orlando Roadsters Meet - Monday January 19, 2015

This is the thread for the Orlando Roadsters monthly meet, January 2015 edition and the first meet of 2015!

This is a great month in FL if you are an auto racing enthusiast. There are four great events happening in January including our monthly Orlando Roadsters Meet.
Here they are in chronological order:


• Roar Before the Rolex 24: January 9-11, Daytona International Speedway

Official test days for teams leading up to the annual Rolex 24 Hour of Daytona at the end of the month.
A great way to experience the essence of the Rolex 24 with out the crowds. Admission includes infield and garage access.
+ Join up with David Wallens of GRM and the Daytona Sports Car club for a guided paddock tour on that Saturday:

• Annual Classic Mazda pre-race exhibition
Saturday, January 17 5:00pm Classic Mazda East.

This is the Season opener for the Tudor Sportscar Championship

Setting this up for two reasons, firstly our Orlando Roadster member Joel is leaving FL and wanted squeeze in one more kart session!

Second, we are timing this to precede the annual Mazda Pre-Race Exhibition event at Classic Mazda this Saturday.

We typically do 3, 10-min sessions which is $56.00 + tax

Everyone, WOW, I am totally blown away with the attendance tonight, amazing meet thank you all very much for joining us to night.

Some unfortunate business I need to address. I want to thank those of you who were patient with the Tilted Kilt service tonight. We were not expecting such a large turn-out and the Tilted Kilt was not prepared to take care of that big of a group all at once. Unfortunately a couple of people actually dined and dashed out on their bill this evening and that truly disappoints me.

I’ve talked to the managers about it, we are still on good terms. However, please, if you ever feel you are not being treated properly at our meet location, tell the staff, or if you are not comfortable doing that, come talk to me.

What a way to start 2015! Despite a small bump this was a fantastic meet to kick off 2015. Big thank you to the regulars, the semi-regulars and the new faces we had attend tonight!
