Quick review on the FM springs:
Overall I'm happy with these springs. It has enough rate to keep your car from bottoming out. It's not too stiff nor too soft on the streets. For me, it's just the right amount of spring rate for street and occasional track. The drop was not exaggerated which is a plus for me. I was not looking to slam the car I just wanted to up the spring rate to increase the response. The FCM 36mm bump stops that I installed as well made the ride a lot smoother. Another great FM product!!!

Does not come loose under full droop unlike the Eiback pro-kits that I previously had.

Thanks I think I'm right behind you on this Bobo. Was your Eibach springs colored Red? I need this subtle set-up for my DD. What is your height from the pinch weld?

No problem, it's around 5" from the pinch-weld to the ground +- 1/4". Keep in mind I have a dirt driveway which is not evenly flat. I had black pro-kits before my OEM & FM springs. What part of Norcal are you from?

Oh OK do you go to the Vacaville meets ?

I work nights and weekends so most times I am not available :-(

LMK when the next one is so I may be able to set a reliever and attend.

I believe it's the first Thursday of every month. It's been a year since I was last in attendance. School has kept me busy. There should be a meet this Thursday in Vacaville.

Stock for now but I'm planning to buy just the front FM swaybars.

I have been running FM springs on OEM Billies with FCM bumps since 2007.
They're currently on my wifes '97, running a set of NB2 16" twists.
Still rides great, and happy with them.

BOBO, thanks for the review. I am going to do the same thing but I am going to use the Flying Miata rear top hats. I have a question for you, it looks like you used stock top hats, did you use a washer and a nut on the top and if so are they "STOCK"? Thanks, Hurtin.

I used the stock replacement tophats for the front & rear shocks that FlyinMiata sells. And yes I used a washer and a nut on top just like stock setup. I would love to use the purple FM Tophats but it wasn't available at the time I purchased the FM springs.

How is the ride over rough and broken pavement?

^For me it's pretty decent. The added spring rate on the FM2 springs matched better with the Monotubes valving compared to the factory springs. For comparison, it rides just a little bit rougher than my old Boxster w/ stock suspension, but a whole lot smoother on the streets than my uncles Elise. The Elise suspension is better suited for track. I was planing to have my Bilsteins re-valved, but I guess I'm happy with the overall ride. Plus I gotta get that paint job already LoL.
