Flares, front lip and spoiler will be color matched in the spring. Splitter is getting removed and it needs to be realigned to fill that gap from adding the flares. Im at something like -4.5 degrees on all corners. Changing it to something like -1.5 will get the top of the tires roughly an inch closer

They're Autokonexion V1s. I had to modify then a bit to fit with the ProjectG corner flares and the canards. Thanks a lot, though!

Thanks! I think it still looks pretty ordinary on the outside, but when you walk past it you see the interior and it suddenly becomes something a little more unique.

Gauges are Revlimiter's custom Version Warbirds with my 'Flying M' garnish.

The mirrors are directly from Harley Davidson. $35 each. I had to make custom mounting plates to make them work, but that only took about an hour of fab and polish.

It is an HTC OneX. The camera is decent but I ran those images through Lightroom and gave them just a little touch up.

That's the original paint (the miracle of Chaste instead of Crystal)! When I bought it a few months ago, it was like chalk; not a hint of shine. It took a good solid day to buff it back up. I really wish I could get in touch with the original owner. For the first 14 years of its life it lived with its original owner and was really loved. It was certainly garaged and I doubt it was driven in the rain more than a handful of times by how clean and rust-free the undercarraige is. Then it was sold to someone who pretty much ignored it and must have parked it outside. Then they traded it in to a Ford dealership where I found it. 84K miles when I bought it in Sep of 2012. Since then, it has been my daily driver, and it does see rain, but it also gets a LOT of attention. It stays spotless.

Why thank you. There's a few things I need to take care of with it, which won't be done before the show this weekend, like the driver's side mirror that fell off (rusted off) and the rear finish panel that shattered into a million pieces. So I'm in search for those pieces ASAP. The mirror's been making a rattling noise for the past couple of months, and when it was being moved back to be adjusted... SNAP! Same with the finish panel, when I had to remove it to take the rear bumper off the other night. It just kept breaking off piece by piece, then today, half of it fell and shattered like a piece of glass.

^^^ + 1000 on that! And you might be luckier than I, The gas stations a few and far between and they have mostly 87 octane gas! With my supercharger I really sweated it out a lot. Oh yeah, what few run down gas stations I found, 99% offered no restrooms :scream:

Not my NA, but borrowed my friends for this autox. This is probably the worst NA I've ever driven but holy crap it was so much fun and I was still competitive. Viscious diff was blown, shocks were dead in the rear, transmission didn't play nice some times, and it would die on idle frequently. This is his junkyard adoption. Paid 50 bucks for it (it wasn't running) and took it home. 3 days and another 50 bucks later, its running. He's barely done anything to really fix it up, but he just beats on it at the track in it's current condition. I really had fun though, just cemented my belief that I'll be getting a Miata in Virginia once again.

Thanks guys! I like to have fun with the car. It's a bit of a duality for me; on one hand I've built the car to be very conservative, tasteful, and retro inspired using very specific parts and methods. I've tried to preserve the car's age and take pride in it being my daily driver (40 miles round trip, every day, with all sorts of evening and weekend driving thrown in). However, I have a tough time being a very serious guy. I love Halloween and I'd much rather have folks smile in my presence than to leave thinking about what a 'try hard, type-A' I am. And so I'll occasionally play around and have a little fun at my own expense by poking fun at how much of a literal character the Miata NA is. :)

And, I didn't even know there was a Mazda Miata FB page (though this doesn't surprise me). Got a direct link ('cause I know there's likely to be billions of them out there).

Complete overhaul:

• replace gas tank (leak)
• replace rear subframe (rusty)
• replace rear differential (had leak in the steel casting)
• refresh all A-arms (cleaner set (painted with POR-15 with de-rusted & painted hardware)
• refresh suspension (clean & paint NB Bilstn shocks, new outer tie rod ends, upper ball joint boots with de-rusted & painted hardware)
• replace passenger's front fender (after being sideswiped)
• replace passenger's door (after being sideswiped)
• replace passenger's rear quarter (after being sideswiped)
• repair driver's front fender (rust at the bottom)
• repair rusty rockers (both sides & what's underneath)
• repair slice in the bumper cover.
• repair rust holes under BOTH headlights.
• replace transmission (with a newer one)
and a bunch of other stuff that goes along with it all.

This is a build I am doing with my oldest daughter, so she can drive it. I will be making a build thread.
