When replacing the ignition switch on your Miata a few tools can make things a lot easier...
A set of extra long cross point screw drivers, these can be purchased at Harbor Freight for about $4.
Dremel to cut a slot in the breakaway screws holding the assembly to the steering column.
An air tank to blow the metal dust out of your steering column and dash. Harbor Freight has a really nice aluminum air tank.
Rotate the steering wheel to allow access to the 3 other screws holding the igntion switch in place.
Nail polish for marking the ignition key so you know which key is for the door and which is for the ignition.
