The Miata Squad / 1995

A low budget made for TV Movie, but still cool

This is the movie which was made for all Miata owners.

Some Miata club members are arrested for selling drugs at a Import Car show in Los Angeles, California. One of members tries to prove their innocent with help of an investigator of police office. (Chuck Norris)

He drives a V8 Monster Miata with weapons on the ready to fight against the drug dealers that set them up.

Best part is the helicopter chase where they latch onto the Miatas hardtop but Chuck Norris pulls a quick release and the hardtop flies off and he downshifts the V8 Miata for the narrow escape into the mountain tunnel.

Lots of great Chuck Norris Karate action like only he can do !! And the V8 Monster Miata was awesome!

It was a "made for TV" movie by Cannon Films/Tokyo Limited back in late 1995, the V8 Miata has a wide body kit to die for!!!

The wife and I are watching a movie on MTV called She's the man. Staring Amanda Bines and there was a scene where she is walking up a pathway and her friend pulls up behind her in a red NA miata. Soon as I saw it I remembered this thread. The link is the only online image i could quickly find on my phone.

Mckenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire, The Martian) in the last two minutes of the show drives a nice, red NA along the California coast. License plate is "YORK 1" because her character's name is "Yorki."

Actually the whole series is pretty cool, like Twilight Zone of our time.

In episode 6, "Hated in the Nation," about two minutes in there is an ND approaching the camera. First ND I've seen in a film so far.
