Hello mate, yes had those seats, they got away as I sold them with the pitcrew to a enthusiast in France who I believe through going on the Mx5 France owners club still has the car. Very nice seats, sit you lower then stock, wish I had kept.

Thank you. JDM wise apart from the RS Aizawa strut brace only have some KG Works crash pad gauge pods to fit on one of the cars plus some P5 frame rails (a bit like the FM versions). Also got a 323 cam cover somewhere round the house (moved recently) and want to get that fitted.

love the tail lights.

How did you do the center console?

It looks like it sits flush with the oem console do did you just wrap it in carpet?

The centre console is a piece by nakamae, it's their vintage centre console.

Well some new parts acquired as mentioned over the last few weeks. Here are some photos.

1st up a RS*R manifold (no photos Im afraid) which will probably go on this car to match with the Rs*R exhaust.

Next up fresh in from Japan a Joy Fast gear knob, not fitted yet as been too busy with work to go out to the car so here is a library photo anyway.

Last up a new set of wheels, which I picked up this morning. Bit of a impulse buy as seen for sale on facebook, were advertised as SSR MK3 14x6 or 14x7 with plus 38 offset and were off a nissan march. I picked them up this morning, have some curbing on them which I sort longer term but were not a bad price for these wheels. Also and a nice plus point after thorough deep clean found the SSR manufacturer label on the back and hey are 14x6.5 +19 offset so quite a nice fitment as these wheels in my experience always need a 5mm spacer to fit.

Your tuckin99 arched roadster has been a great inspiration for me, there's just too much nice stuff on that thing.
What tyres size are you actually running on those Watanabes? I can find the wheel specs with a bit of searching, but haven't seen you mention tyre specs.
All i can see is they're toyo t1r's :P.

Cheers. My silver tuckin 99 is still the favorite of my cars. Off hand I cannot remember the specs of the tyres.

Keep it up!

Some good plans in the pipeline.

Samuli who is a fellow mx5 enthusiast also got a good video to show how the Hayashi lights on my car work.

Some work completed on my FM2 Roadster today that I had booked in with MX5Restorer another UK MX5 Specialist local (ish) to me.

I had noticed that Garath at MX5Restorer is now a distributor for the P5 frame rails which are very similar to the Flyinmiata frame rails available state side.

I have these frame rails on my Corns roadster and was pleasantly surprised at the difference they made to the Corns Roadster which like the silver fm2 car already had a roll bar, uprated anti roll bars, uprated strut bracing, etc so wasnt expecting much on fitting them to an already stiff roadster. They fit over the existing floor rails so on a low car like my silver fm2 and Corns roadster not only add some protection but also help to strengthen the body of the car, reduce skuttle shake and improve handling by allowing the suspension on the car to work as intended without the the body of the car flexing and becoming a spring itself.

On the silver fm2 roadster I did notice the car was more compliant on some of the road then it was before, etc so as with the Corns roadster when I fitted them am happy with the purchase. Likewise while at MX5 Restorer also sorted the electric aerial that had been broken for quite a while while got an oil change done too for good measure.

Although I have known Garath for quite a while, owner of MX5Restorer it was the first time I had used his business. I am always nervous on who I allow to work on the silver car but was very happy with the standard of workmanship, friendly, helpful manner so I will use again.
