did some miatas come with a trailer hitch stock? i almost got one on craigs list for 45 dollors. he didnt know what brand it was. im trying to find one so i can ice race my car on studded tires next winter

Doubt it but they sell aftermarket ones

They are all aftermarket. I have one on my NB that came with the car, but I'll never use it. Wonder if it works as chassis bracing..

anybody ever try making the own? the ones you buy must just use the bumper bolts to hold them on?

You can definitely get an aftermarket hitch. I would recommend purchasing one from a retailer as they can select the correct hitch for your year whereas someone off of craigslist might not know. Plus you get warranty! Which is a bonus in my opinion haha

I checked out Hitchweb which is where I got my hitch, and got as far as here: Mazda Miata MX-5 Trailer Hitches (https://www.hitchweb.com/category/MAZD-MI-TH/Mazda-Miata-MX-5-Trailer-Hitches) Just select your year and then you will be good to go!

BTW: Looking at previous posts, Sweetsally sounds like a sales person for a hitch company, no? ;)
