I'll be getting an NA hopefully soon and been brainstorming on ideas for future plans. This is only an idea but has anyone seen or thought of a Rauh Welt inspired Miata? Doesn't have to have crazy amount of widebody additions but like wouldn't that be interesting? I hope this wouldn't be too much of a wasted post. Suggestions?

lol i just have no idea how to make a huge fender flare like that, every RWB car is a one-of, and not sure if people would dig it ya know?

You could do a crazy staggered setup but it would probably hurt driveability a lot. 911s are a lot more suited for crazy wide wheels in the back (so it seems?).
Otherwise:
-AK rear overfenders with a ton of rivets.
-Big ol' GT wing
-Big ol' diffuser
-Pastel paint

that sounds bomb, come to think of it i think 10 or 11 wide in the rear would suffice for such a small car

This is a start. Tuckin 99 flares or something similar are your best bet.

Maybe x10+0 (lol, if you can find it) in the rear and x8+0 in the front, with just regular stock fenders in the front. Theoretically, the tire contact patches should be aligned, and it shouldn't feel too too crappy, but by the progressive nature of the miata's double wishbone setup, things will get all out of whack when you've got a lot of weight transfer on one side and I assume you'll get a lot of understeer... I'd say run the same size tire on both, 225s I guess, but then you're at the point where you'd need a mild flare on the front (which still might fit the style, I guess)

He comes to mind whenever I think of RWB style on a miata.
Fitment doesn't necessarily need to be staggered to achieve the look. RWB cars are about functionality as well as looks.

I think it has a very similar look to RWB, the color, the look of the rear, the aggressiveness, the lip, it could use some tweaks here and there to make it more RWB'ish but I think its a very close base to RWB style cars.

Don't think the Mint green NA belongs either. Doesn't have the same attitude at all.

actually they might be a bit different, i could put on those fender flares but they would have to me moulded for the real effect, i mean rivets look freakin sick but just for this look its gotta be all one piece-ish. then either use workmeisters or ssr professor sp1s

That seems a bit off. RWB never molds their bodywork, it's all riveted.

Tuckin 99 Wide Overfenders, or....
Or use the AK widebody that Fred is using?

Also, what color paint do you think you will do? I really like that green paint the Porsche is using!

AK widebody + fastback + wide aggressive wheels (not blingy).
I agree Minty fresh doesn't belong.
I also think 911s pulls off the riveted flares really well. It's not RWB, but this is what I compare every flared Miata to...I can't look at a riveted widebody flares without thinking of the almighty GT2.

if you want to build something like RWB on a miata this should look like a porsche:
i saw a custom front bumper porsche inspired on a japanese NA (i cant find the pics!!)
you can use AK parts:
rear fender flares from GT kit are perfect
frond fenders from N2 kit
and a fastback!

That seems a bit off. RWB never molds their bodywork, it's all riveted.
right, i know its riveted but the fact that its custom moulded the whole body flows soo smooth compared to the regular miata over fenders which would look like breast implants i'd think

I prefer for flares to be riveted. Carefully molded flares look too show car for my taste. They originated from racing cars that needed to fit wider tires than the stock body would allow for, but still have smooth aerodynamics. They have always been tacked on, and I think the look is more proper with rivets.

I am not going to suggest any flares or anything because i believe that has been well covered. I would consider vinyl wrapping the car as it can cost cheaper then paint and very easy to attain matte vinyl.
Also talk to R2Limited to get the rocker decals spot on.

you need this kind of magic.... good sized tires that are properly fitted

Kikinoutyo's Miata is up there. A set of Miesters would complete it.
I also don't necessarily think that fastback= RWB style.
It's a lot of what you don't do to achieve the look as well. Nakai San always manages to find the awesome balance of form and function.
He makes me wanna go rip my interior out. lol

if you dont have the matte paint and trademark miesters, its just not RWB. However, there are several miatas that I think far surpass RWB cars- Kodi's and Chris' for starters

Rwb is always low ,tucking tire, and still handles.
its pretty hard to do.
