Okay guys Coilovers are installed but wondering what ride height you guys are using ? ( center hub to fender arch) front and rear

Not looking for slammage here, just a nice street height with an occasional autoX or track event.

12-12.5" front, about a 1/2" higher in the rear.

12.5f, 12.875- 13r, to be conservative

Was at 12.5. Scraped leaving my driveway. Switched to Billies and am sitting at 13 all the way around. Love it. No scrapes and still looks good. Ride is amazing also.

I set them at 12.5 inches on all four corners, KFC did you use the 13.0 rake on the rear for launching 0-60 grip or some other reason?

949 recommends it and both times I corner balanced my own car, I had about a 13mm rake.

My car is about 12.125f/12.625 rear

12.5' front and 13" rear is also the Flyin' Miata recommended street/ track height. It is lower than stock but safe for most real world situations you will encounter. The car will look flat with you in it.

12.5 is the common setting and I'm sure you will like the ride quality and stance of your ride.

I'm at 12 all the way around for now.
Running 15x9 and only rubs the sway at lock with a bit of a tug.

Would love to go back to 12.5 but not really feeling like taking the shocks off to remove the perch. You guys are riding low.

I have run mine as low as 11.25/11.5 as a tribute, but it was exhausting watching for stuff I would bottom out on.

I can't say I bottom out much. But I do run pretty stiff springs for the street. 700f/450r.

Just take your car for a corner weight and alignment. Those spring rates are soft so 12" hub to fender would be the lower range I would go with those

^that.

The best reason for coilovers is corner balancing. It's worth it. I used Woolery's scales to balance mine while sitting in it. It was cool to see how the balance changed just with me leaning side to side, front to back. It added that extra exclamation point to the suspension.

me no has "racecar" guys, me has "street" car.

My last miata had Tanabe Sustec Pro Race Coilovers, you could feel every crack, paint line, and transition in the road.

They kicked ass on the track.

But on the street it sucked, it felt like the car was gonna shake itself apart from all the bumps.

Here is a picture of them after I took them off the car, take a look, there is like NO room for spring travel on the street, I hit the bump stops every drive I took it on. This was an 11.5 F and 12 R hub to fender if IIRC? I have no idea what the spring rates are, its been so long ago now, I might be able to look them up in my old Tanabe catalog. I bought those brand new back in 1999 for like $1950 plus shipping from Japan. :fp: But this was WAY before anyone in the USA even had coilovers for the Miata, which is why I went to the Japanese market, lots more selection, and lots of guys running these in Japan back then.

You do realize the absurdity of this statement, yes?
