It's awesome to have another Roadster oriented forum to add to the list! Thanks Randy!
I'm Eric. I'm from Newnan, GA (near Atlanta). I'm addicted to these fun little cars and working on them, so much so that I always seem to have one or two follow me home for some reason or another.
I got into Miatas when my dad and I bought my mom a '97 STO and I found how much fun they were to drive and how easy they were to work on. A year or two later, in Feb. 2007, I got my own and immediately started making it my own. After a bent connecting rod and many changes during the rebuild, it ultimately ended up with a nicely built engine, GT2871R turbo, 6-speed, and a 3.636 TorSen. This is how it was after all that:

Then after all of that I realized that I wanted to pay off debt, buy a house, get married, etc. so I parted it out. So now the complete heart of the beast resides in a '91 which belongs to Oldgrayfrog, who I've had the honor of building the car for. Like he says, pretty much the only thing on that car that's still stock are the door skins, I had it down to pretty much a bare shell and started from there.
Anyway, I didn't leave the Miata world, I ended up buying his '99 with the intention of having just a daily driver but started working on it in the spare time I rarely had. lol Here are the two sitting together:

It's still mostly stock engine-wise: header, 2.5" exhaust, and a DIY coldside intake. It's on Bilstein PSS coilovers, FM sways w/ adjustable endlinks, a Wilwood BBK, and 15x7.5 Nickel 6ULs with Yokohama S-Drive 205/50/15 tires. I retrofitted my own headlights with a set of Morimoto Mini H1 Bi-Xenon projectors, they are a million times better than the halogen lighting ever was and obviously better than just installing HIDs in the halogen housings. On the interior I have NA seats, I find them more comfortable, with a Bride seat to swap out for track time, a Momo Champion wheel (thanks again Randy!), and some other little things here and there. I also have what I consider to be a pretty rare piece on this side of the pond, a D-Technique center console delete, it adds a lot of elbow room in the more cramped NB interior and makes the interior feel more roomy overall. I have a few more parts and projects in line for this car, one being boost, so it's ever changing.
And I think that's enough for an intro. :)
