Such a great place for gear heads. The surrounding roads are fun too

I go every other year and it gets better & better.
The last few years the Volvo meet and Lincoln meets fell on the same day.
So I try to plan for that day since I have owned both.

Great show of cars plus you have the museum venue.

Pick your favorite marque and find out when a meet is scheduled at the Gilmore.
Worth the trip.

I wonder if they have an all Japanese show?
It would make a great Midwest Miata meet up.

The highlight of the show was Janis Joplin's 64 Porsche Roadster. It was sold last year at auction for 1.76 million!
I will post some pics of her car and some of the others also. The show runs until April 2017, unfortunately Janis' car
last day at the show was today.

Miataquest: They don't have a Japanese show. There used to be a "Dust off Show" in the spring every year and all types of cars were welcome. My NA was in that show. The Mad Dogs & Englishmen Show is kind enough to let Miatas to take part, they consider our cars as cousins to the British sports car. Our car was in this summer's show, along with about 5 other Miatas. I'll have to see if I have some photos to post.
I would like to see an Italian show also and find it curious that there isn't one.

I have done a pair of Mad Dog shows there in my Miata. Good people. Last time I was there, that yellow Ferrari did a massive burnout with another red one visiting at the time. Pretty cool.

Fu: Was it the Ferrari I have pictured above? If so it belongs to William Parfet, President of the Museum and the owner of the property if I'm not mistaken.

Yah. That one. They were really eager to show us it's mechanical condition. Twin Ferrari burnouts is something I will never forget. :)
