When:

Anyone with a sports car. This is an open marque event, so feel free to invite your friends!

Your Host:
David Woolery

It's springtime...the birds are chirping, the bees are buzzing, pretty flowers are in bloom, and the Garage Woolery Spring Tech Day is here! Come out to the season's "MUST DO" event, the Garage Woolery Spring Tech Day! ALL sports car marques are welcomed, so if you know anyone with a sports car, invite them to come along and enjoy the day.

This is an all day, "come and go as you please" event. It is also a potluck, so BYOB and bring some food/snacks/tools/advice/help if you can. Come out to turn a wrench or just hang out and socialize.

If you have a large maintenance project in mind for the tech day (ie, suspension swap, big brake conversion, timing belt change) please notify me ASAP so I can reserve you a spot appropriate for the job you plan to do. First come, first served.

Vendors are also very welcome to come out to the tech day, so if you have anything you'd like to sell, or you're a vendor, or you know of a vendor who'd like to come, feel free to invite them or refer them to me so I can help them get set up on site.

These seasonal tech days are very well attended. If you've never come out to one before, nows the time to come out to see what you've been missing! See you there!

I put that roll bar in without anybody's help, not because I'm a badass but because everybody I knew was busy that weekend (http://www.ragemaker.net/images/Sad/forever%20alone%20with%20words.png)...most people take like 7-9 hours to wrestle one in. I think it took me two days, working 8 hours a day. And about a dozen trips to Home Depot.

OK, I am bringing the tools for Dilly(?) to do a foamectomy, a modified NA flasher module for LED lights, my module modifier kit (if anyone else wants one), my caliper cores to rebuild (if anyone wants to watch), a big-ass sack of kettle chips, and a set of flare wrenches to donate to Garage Woolery.

I don't really have any projects planned other than some minor futzing on my NA. Tina's steering parts haven't arrived yet, so that isn't happening. I don't think Tina is coming out, she has an Astronomy meet later this evening and Puma HATES riding in my car.

I'll be there around 10, bitches.

I'd like to borrow the foamectomy tools after Dilly if that's cool with you Steve. I'm desperate for more headroom!

I'll be to the tech day around noon. Katie is determined to work on my car and I have plenty of aftermarket parts for her to choose from. See you guys later!

I might set up a headlight aiming station, too. I'll discuss with David when I get there.

Wow, long day! got there early, and left 11 hours later. Thank you Dave for hosting yet another fantastic day. I'd like to thank the guys who helped out with my suspension switch. It was a fantastic learning process. Steve for helping out when you were busy with your own stuff. Patrick, for your help during the entire install. Emmi, thanks for the removal help and showing me the.... interesting way to take apart the shocks and springs! JonB for bringing the springs, (I had images of getting everything taken apart, and you forgetting them... LOL!) the smooth reinstall and test driving for me afterwards. And finally, thanks to Rob, for the use of the official RyokuRob spring compressor! :winky: :D :blaugh2:

Thanks, David! The new Woolery compound is awesome!

This techday's award for PITA, stubborn car goes to Will's NA. There is always ONE car that resists being modified or repaired, no matter how many people help.

Second place goes to Sean's car. Your car can DIAF.

Anyways, thank you Dave for hosting tech day and putting up with all of my questions. Thanks to Steve for putting up with my endless slew of questions and all the help you provided with the exhaust and spring install. Thanks to Darryl, Gus, emmi, jonb, and ryokurob for helping me out when I needed a strong arm and some input. There was someone else that was helping me too, but I didn't get his name. The one that left his tools.. Pedro? :p an extra huge thank you for rob for going home and getting me oem front struts when one of mine got cross threaded -.- I owe you one man. So it seems the 5 hours of hell was actually worth it. Car feels AMAZING with the mazdacomps and getting all the gunk off my air filter noticeably smoothed my idle out.

Big thanks to Steve and Rob for gettin' all dirty under the car and showing me what to do. And Jon for bitching a lot. :teehee:

Also Steve my headlights turned out perfect. You can't even tell the right one is slightly higher when driving. I'll try to remember to bring the rods to the next SOCM so we can finally get those squared away.

it occurred to me driving home that your lowbeams are perfect now, and the messed up adjuster is on the passenger highbeam.

No the lowbeams are definitely perfect. I meant the highbeams are actually in good, usable condition now and you can't even tell the right side is higher. Bravo sir.
