straight pipe from manifold to muffler?

new project has no exhaust and was thinking of using straight piping (2 inch or 2.5) from the header to the muffler. has anyone done this before? how loud was it? any problems?

It'll sound like pewp and be loud as all get out (not in a cool way) without at least a resonator and a couple of bends in place. You could get away with running cat-less if you have an in-line resonator, a muffler, and 2.25" piping diameter. The best part is that you won't sound like some beater Civic.

Straight pipe isn't as baller as it's made out to be. :roll:

I run straight 2.5" to a muffler. not too bad. infact not loud enough.
the turbo keeps it in check though

true. well mines not boosted... yet. just trying to find a decent solution until i can get some real pipes down there.
