Here's something new I'm trying - some race livery inspired gauges. My first attempt is with the classic red/black Advan livery. I'm calling it Version Advance.

It's in the store for NAs right now. (https://revlimiter.net/store/gauges-advance-na.php) I'll have the NC up shortly as well. And Martini livery is next on the list!

Let me know what you think! And if anyone wants a logo added to that tach face, it's easily done with a custom order.

Adam Please do a vintage style BP gasoline logo and have you done any renderings for a Gulf Oil theme?

Agreed on the Gulf theme!

Someone please make him stop. Or, at least create a quick change system for a na gauge set. Sigh.

Quick release gauges I like where you're going with this.

You'll need to have multiple gauge clusters on hand and just swap them out. Of course your mileage will be difficult to track, if that matters to you.

Maybe if I put a hinge on the gauge hood. And Adam, I’ll let you explain to my wife why I have half a dozen clusters for one car.

I mean... he is the married guy with the whole house filled with old steering wheels. He might actually be able to explain it :D

Next up is Martini and then Gulf. BP would be fun too!

I've honestly thought about building/commissioning a gauge face display box that would hold and provide power to a spare/unused cluster, like a lighted shadow box of some sort. Would be easy enough, If I didn't have rentals to take care of and a house to prep for moving...

This one was one of the most fun and most satisfying to do - the previously mentioned Martini Racing livery. I'm calling it Version Jazz in reference to the transforming Porsche of the 80s with the same color scheme.

It's actually not too easy to get an object to go across four separate dial faces, but that stripe just demanded it.

https://revlimiter.net/store/gauges/martini-na4.jpg
The colors used are as accurate as possible and are an exact match to the Pantone colors used on the Martini livery.

The red needles aren't included, but I've got a blog post on painting your own (https://revlimiter.net/blog/2013/03/how-to-paint-gauge-needles/). It's not difficult and is a few minutes of work spread out over an hour.

https://revlimiter.net/store/gauges/martini-na10.jpg
The night mode is especially satisfying.

Jazz gauges are in the store now. (https://revlimiter.net/store/gauges-jazz-na.php) If you have a non-NA, just use the custom order form and request this design be made for your NB, NC, or ND. It's no extra cost to do this.

Jazz gauges for the NB are now in the store! Can't let the NAs have all the fun.

Please note that these have an extended rev and speed range. They ARE direct replacement gauges for your factory dials. These just have some extra scale added onto the ends of the speed and tach faces.

And last (for now) but not least...

This one is called Version 7 - my homage to Gulf Racing.

https://revlimiter.net/store/gauges/gulf-na02.jpg
The Gulf colors are as exact as possible. A couple solid weeks of work went into these. There's always something new for me to learn when designing gauges. This set really pushed me.

https://revlimiter.net/store/gauges/gulf-na04.jpg
There's a lot going on here and a couple solid weeks of design time were spent on this. The final version is something I'm extremely proud of - a Gulf tach face unlike anything put out by a watch maker or any other shop in history. 7000 is celebrated with a roundel and the redline is extremely prominent and easy to see.

https://revlimiter.net/store/gauges/gulf-na00.jpg
Many Hot Wheels and other diecast assisted in the creation of these.

https://revlimiter.net/store/gauges/gulf-na10.jpg
I didn't scrimp on the lighting effects for this set. The same orange and blue livery continues at night. I highly recommend LED bulbs on these.

You can see more pix in my store (https://revlimiter.net/store/gauges-gulf-na.php) and buy these for the NA Miata. If you have a non-NA, just fill out the custom order form and request them for another cluster. There's (probably) no extra charge for me to convert them to another generation... though it might take me a few weeks.
