I just checked my 'Gas Buddy' app and the cheapest gas around is at the am-pm down the block @ $3.97 a gallon.

It's gonna be too expensive to get to work here shortly...

Almost a gallon over here. It's been well over 1GBP (~) a litre for a few years over here... Although, our 'regular' is 95RON, with super being 97, and in some places 99...

No matter what price, you will still buy it. They have us by the balls. Deal with it.

This.

There isn't really much we can do about it. We all have to go to work and have other places to be. I pretty much look at it that way. I mean, yes it sucks having to pay that much and I do complain, but there isn't much I can do about it.

And we all drive Miata's that get good gas mileage so we still have no room to talk!

time to wash and cover the wrx, 18mpg on a 4 cylinder is just ridiculous
Thank god for my miata

My miata normally gets 27-30mpg.

That's good enough for me. If you complain about the price of 93 don't turbo your car. It only costs like $3 more per fill up.

You must not be braining. You are forgetting the fact you'll be filling up more frequently with a turboed miata.

In 2008, the word hypermiling was selected as the best new word of the year by New Oxford American Dictionary.

Very true. I have been trying to reduce anything full throttle.

yesterday morning i drove by my neighborhood gas station and thought $4.09/gal was ridiculous for 87 so i didnt fill up. 6 hours later when my gas tank was near empty I went to go fill up at the same gas station for $4.19/gal. FML :fp:

And you still get it cheaper than us. *Sits in the corner crying* 10GBP (~) got me 7.25L today.

Rather annoyingly, over half the cost of the fuel comes from Government added tax. On top of the tax we pay them for 'fixing' the roads. By 'fixing' I mean causing huge tailbacks, and leaving it in the same state it was before...

kung fu jesus

yes, but they actually fix the roads there. here, they "fix" the roads to satisfy budgetary concerns.

as fuel climbs and people can't afford their Amuricun cars, the fatties will revolt.

same here... we have saved a lot of money thanks to absence of snow this year... yeah, the roads will be in the same crappy condition like every year and the saving will appear only on politician's paycheck

Thank God I got a new job that will cut my commute in more than half. Even though inflation has out paced gas prices it still sucks to be paying this much. Right now I commute over 100miles a day, 5 days a week. In the miata at ~25mpg I use 4 gallons a day.

Oh, they don't. They cause traffic, pour a bit of tarmac into the hole, and leave it. Thus the roads over here don't actually get fixed in any way. :(

Your countries, I know UK at least, taxes the fuck out of fuel. Only about $.50 is tax here.
