WTB/WTT need a miata for a family member!

ok so my household needs another miata :fp:the story is i used to be a big e30 guy... i sold my old gray-market e30 convertible to my mother in law and she has slowly over time gotten to dislike it. it runs strong but its been murdered out (satin-black for all you car-talk illiterates!) and needs an interior touch up. its got relatively new ebay "racing seats" and the back seat is really ugly but its still comfy and there. she's totally down to get a miata with the logic that if something happens to it i can do all the work for her way cheaper than a shop tech, and sourcing parts is much cheaper and easier.i'm looking for something in the price range of $1000-2000 in good running order, 1.8 is preferred but 1.6 is fine. she wont be auto-x'ing or anything haha. let me know what you've got and if you're interested in a california registered gray-market e30 that just needs some TLC.

How much seat time has she had in a Miata? I've seen people love the idea of a Miata, buy one but then hate life when they have to drive it every day.

Oh, and once you start fixing stuff for people like cars and computers, it never ends. You even get the benefit of all the blame when they hose something again.
