.
Here are six reasons to join up with a local Miata club:

1. You are likely to meet a bunch of people who are fundamentally just like you. Chances are you'll have a lot to talk about and will end up making new friends.

2. Need a ride? The Internet is a useful tool for research and discussion, but friends on the other side of the country can't help you work on your brakes, or give you a ride to pick up your Miata from the bodyshop, mechanic, dealer, etc.

3. You can get access to specialty tools through your club (spring compressions, timing lights, fender rollers, air tools, etc). If one member has a car lift in his shop, chances are you can borrow it from time to time. Then you can spend your budget on another tool that no one else has yet. Be sure to share!

4. Finding a group of like-minded people in your area will help you keep your interest in your car. This is especially true if you have a project car that may take some time before it's ready to drive.

5. The other members of the club will know the best places to shop for parts, which mechanics to use, and have probably seen and overcome every challenge you will face. Their hands-on experience won't be available on the Internet forums.

6. Want to know about certain aftermarket parts, how to install it, or what something looks/feels like in person? Chances are someone in your local area already has that rollbar, racing seat, turbo kit, or suspension set you have been looking at on the internet. Want to know what a certain clutch, flywheel, or coil overs feel like in a Miata? These are the people to ask!

Rules for a happy car club life are simple: Be a friend to everyone and keep your nose out of factions and internal politics. Treat your club members right, and you'll always have help when you need it. And remember, come for the cars, and stay for the people! Some of the friends you make here will last a lifetime!

OK, I've owned my 99 Miata for a couple of weeks now, and have sucessfully joined this forum. !! Yay.

The only Miata club I can find online in New Hampshire, is M'stersMiata club. I've "registered " twice online
on their website. To date, no response. All replys are "waiting for administrator approval" . No emails requesting
further data,etc.

Does anyone on this site have direct contact with that club, that could prompt them to contact me ?
Seems very odd that they are not encouraging new membership.

Thanks, Gene

Gene,
I'm not familiar with the M'sters but if you're not too far North the Mass Miata Club has some NH members and makes several trips to your area.

Jim,
Don't forget club member discounts from sponsors as another good club benefit :-)

I belive there is only about 3-4 people in the m'sters club. Quite sad actually.
