Everyone is crazy for the asparagus when it's one of the easiest grilling recipes in Weber's Real Grilling book. :lol:

I'm glad you didn't try the grilled salmon with green goddess dressing or the NY strip steak with crushed garlic and Tennessee BBQ sauce. I've served up the grilled salmon and green goddess dressing before and had people eat the salmon skin and then started on the plate before I stopped them. :shock:

The Tennessee BBQ sauce has Jack Daniel's whiskey as part of its recipe and I know you all don't like alcohol. :teehee:

Is anyone bringing charcoal for the grill(s)? Either that or we'll have to cook off the hot engine valve covers. :lol:

If we have to cook on valve covers, yours is the best bet due to your turbo or are you running cooler these days?

I'm keeping an eye on the sign up lists on the big boards & the TBM. The only ones I'm not aware of are the Gearheads site, the Orlando group and possibly Sarasota.

Does anyone have a Coleman two burner portable stove or something similar and who are not going on the performance run lead by Thumper?

I was thinking of having the sauces for the grilled salmon and the grilled NY strip steak ready. Then individuals who'd like something other than hot dogs and hamburgers could purchase either salmon or steak and could eat their selection along with the asparagus and some rice.

Salmon's been on sale and the steak should be under $10. :)

They had a really clean red NA with a hardtop that I never got a photo of. (Also, did anyone catch their name? Yung Chen & ??? Apologies for the misspelling if they read this)

* Joe & his wife from the Sun Riders stopped by with their custom dragon NB despite the rain (btw, it didn't rain as hard as we thought it would be).

* Warren, it's a shame you never got to stay!

* Mike with the silver NA who just stopped by because his relative/friend in a tow truck passed by the park and saw all the Miatas.

Well, I blew my transmission on the way back home. The trouble began after I tried to shift into 5th gear about 20 miles from Tampa on I-4. The transmission allowed me 4th gear so I cruised home in 4th and the right hand lane while listening to what sounded like marbles rolling around in the trans. I barely made it home. First gear was now reverse. Sunday I spent time taking the transmission off another '97 and preparing the broken trans to be removed. Monday I took the broken trans out and put in the replacement. Today I was back on the road. :slayer:

Yes yes, horrible squealing belts. It started right around the time of my coolant leak so I always figured it was just the coolant residue that saturated the belts causing them to squeal at start up. They'd been tightened recently but I'll double check just in case.

Fun! It sounds like you might have the squeal until it comes time to replace it or when you get tired of hearing it. (whichever comes first)
