alright im going to try and give you guys all the information that i can in hopes that someone who knows the wiring of these cars or has access to the diagrams that can assist me in solving this issue.

the motor is from a 95 car and the car it is now in is a 96 car.

here is the plug that comes from the cars wiring harness. it is loomed with the plug for the CAS sensor and oxygen sensor plugs. it has 4 pins and 4 wires. it has the following wires coming from it:
BLACK
BLUE
BROWN
BROWN/WHITE

and this is the plug that the above plug is supposed to plug into. this has 6 pins with only 5 wires going into it. these are the wires going into it:
BLACK
BLUE
BROWN
BROWN/WHITE
BLACK/WHITE

now im trying to figure out what this black/white wire is that was on the 95 cars but not on the 96 cars. what does it go to? is it necessary? etc...

i do have a complete 95 wire harness in my garage to use if needed. please help me!

There were a few harness changes mid year '95, IIRC.

It also doesn't help that you are trying to interchange OBD1 and OBD2 harnesses.

If it's a 95, then yes. OBD2 started in 96. (I think?)

Check the VIN on the oil pan. The 10th character from the left should be a letter. If it is an "R" it is from a 95, an "S" is 96. Assuming the oilpan wasn't changed out with another...

cars a 96 as is the wiring harness and ecu. motor is from a 97 so the injector harness should have plugged right in, BUT, what happened was the 97 motor was put into an OBDI 95 car and the injector harnesses were swapped.

so it has the 5 wire plug from the OBDI on the injector harness instead of the 4 wire plug for the OBDII
