A rollbar will fit under your soft top and won't interfere with raising and lowering of the soft top. Only problem with some rollbars is if you have a glass rear window, but it would be specified by the manufacturer as not fitting.

Fact.

Also depends on the bar. My autopower street one just took a little cutting with a dremal. Super fucking easy install.

You sort of have to guess, or have somebody help you that's done an install on your particular bar before. Measure 30 times, cut once.

I recommend tin snips. You don't need to cut that much and you will be less likely to nick the wiring harness. You can also use a dremel as recommended above, for more control, but it is slower.

You cut where you need to make it fit :P

When I took my shelf apart and paced the bar in; it got stuck. Therefore I cut it off.

I made this mistake, I didn't make sure my bar was straight and I drilled a whole set of holes for one side. Realizing what I did before drilling the next ones I shifted the bar, but it was too late. The first holes were off and the safety of the bar is lackluster. So measure, measure and measure.

I have a 90 and 'thought' I was doing a good thing by installing a glass soft top. Oh, it fits the car, but it scrapes like hell on the roll bar. Looks like the top will be coming out and back to my plastic. :cry2: Oh well, I never really drive with it up that often anways.
